review 1: This is the third book I've read by this author; all have been excellent and I would recommend her highly. Although this was not my favorite book by her (That Night is #1), it was very good. She has a thing about using two-word titles which works well. This book was also of interest to me because a main character was a psychiatrist and thus there was a mental health f(my profession) component to the book. This author writes about some heavy duty emotional stuff including traumas (abuse), serial killers, and the like. It's definitely not light reading, or comedy material although there are funny moments in each book. Her writing style is fast-moving and keeps your attention throughout with twists and turns along the way.
review 2: I did not like this book as wel
... morel as her previous books. All of her books keep me in knots as I'm reading them, though, and this was no different in that aspect. I think some of the decisions of the protagonist (who is a Dr. in a psychiatric hospital) were lacking in judgement and shouldn't she have better insight of the people around her? It is a good read, it just missed the mark on what I have come to expect from Stevens. less

Read this book in one day. Predictable plot for the most part but overall a good read.
