Lucy Guardino FBI Thriller

review 1: Ich brauchte eine Weile, um mich durch das Buch zu "arbeiten". Leider ist mir Guardino in ihrer Handlungsweise völlig fremd. Der einzige Charakter, der mir richtig gut gefällt, bleibt bis zum Ende ihr Mann Nick, der noch der besonnenste Mensch zu sein scheint. Ich habe mich nicht weiter informiert, aber "Schlangenblut" liest sich sehr wie die Einleitung zu einer längeren Krimiserie. Da mich aber weder Handlung noch Protagonisten fesseln konnten, werde ich wohl keinen weiteren Fall mit Lucy lesen.
review 2: Excellent book! I have never read any of Ms Lyon's work before. She has a vivid imiagination. The characters are well developed and have a depth to them: almost a soul. The plot isn't a see through smoke screen, but realistic and believable. Lucy Gua... morerdino is realky just a big chicken that needs her family to make her whole. Sure, by day light until after dark she's an FBI Agent. She does the usual FBI things like breaking up sexual pervs wanting children as sexual partners. She developed a team that works together as a well oiled machine. Saving children is her goal even her daughter. This book is intense but not like a pscho killer book where you are afraid to read when it gets dark. less
