review 1: This is one of those books that is a discussion between the narrator and the central, pictured character, like Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. The cat replies to the text of the narrator in pictures he holds up as signs. Cat is jealous of the Easter Bunny at the beginning and wants to become the Easter Cat, but he learns that frequent naps are not part of the Easter Bunny's routine. What's an Easter Cat to do? Lots of fun.
review 2: This cute story has a cat and and narrator. The cat wants to be the Easter Bunny because everyone loves the Easter Bunny. He uses placards to express his thoughts which the narrator interprets on the other side of the two page spread. There is plenty of white space so the cat stand out. When the Easter Cat sees how much ... morework it is to be an Easter Cat, he rethinks his new job. A fun read for young ones to be sure! less
