review 1: Almost didn't finish this because the beginning was confusing at first. Each chapter is a character in the book. At first I was thinking "wait, who is this person again" but then I started to get it. Sometimes I can put a book down for a day or two and know what was going on when I left off. This was not the case for this book. It's a boy meets girl, they fall in love, girls parent (in this case) doesn't like boy and doesn't want girl to see boy. Blah blah blah. Was just an OK for me.
review 2: I did not like this book. Travis’s heart is in the right place, but he is foolish and lacking good judgment. His half-baked ideas show no improvement at the end of the story. He has decided to change careers from construction work to Marine biologist? This d... moreid not sound like a man that is going to master biology, Calculus, chemistry, Physics and other science and technology subjects or did I miss something? Unless you get advanced degrees in the field you are pretty much limited to becoming an aquarist which qualifies you to feed the fish and observe them. In the meantime, he gets a job as a barista and wonders if he could have had it all along and avoided becoming a drug runner. Really? less
