review 1: I enjoyed this enough - brought it all together and definitively closed out the stories. How it did it is a still a bit messy and I will need to reread to piece it together. But hey, its Cthulhu! everyone goes insane after witnessing unspeakable trans-dimensional events so a nice linear close out is a bit of an ask.Art style of the series has impressed all the way. Over the all the story arch feels as though it was stretched 1 volume too far - the rock group section really could have been removed from the story line with no impact. The other false note was the cardinal - he was a bit too much of a caricature of evil, a little less would have been good in making him plausible and more insidiously frightening.
review 2: It all comes to a closing. We get some back
... more stories about Jo and Bishop. We learn that she tried I commit suicide 17 times to make it stop and that she had a kid with Nick's uncle who commuted suicide. The curse is lifted as the men in her life fight the monster. But when it's all said and done she finally gets to grow old after all of this. Not so lucky for Nick, but she doesn't seem to care because she's happy the curse is lifted. Which I never quite figured out the curse. less
