review 1: I really mean to give this 3.5 stars, but we can't choose 1/2's. I enjoyed the story. It definitely had that classic, "film noir" feel to it, with some black magic and monsters added for good measure. Kinda like Hell Boy. I enjoyed the bouncing back and forward in the timeline. That is something I enjoy in general. I wish we would have been given more solid answer's. The artwork was a bit of a challenge for me. I found it to be dark, well, the story is "dark" and it reflected that part, but the artwork was dark; meaning it was kinda hard to see what was happening, kinda like when you watch a movie and there is a little too much light. I am seriously considering venturing into the second part of this series. I think I may have been missing out on the whole Graphic novel gen... morere. I would like to thank Michael( he knows who he is) for steering me in the right direction.
review 2: Quite interesting and selfcontained story (although it's part of a series). Noir + Weird. I read it the day after of reading Revival vol.4 and I have to say for me Revival wins the contest due to its mor fleshed out characters, but provably anyone who enjoys revival will enjoy fatale and the other way round. I'm not sure if I'm going to read Fatale vol 2, but this may be to a recent overdose of weird fiction rather than lack of quality on fatale's side. less
