review 1: Good redemption story. I like the characters and I like that they were not the tradition historical romance character. Jasper was not the brooding lord that everyone is scared of and Melisande was not the sweet little innocent teenager. There was some great humor and you have to love Sir Mouse the terrier. I also like the side story of their servants. The mystery that Jasper was so desperate to solve was not quite solved, but there is the next book.
review 2: This is a very sexy, enchanting love story with suspense to keep it going. Lord Vale has a great sense of humour even though is suffering PTSD from being held captive during the war in Quebec. His humour is his way of coping with his demons and Melisande has a great love for him and compassion. She... more understands him more than he knows.I loved Sir Mouse, the terrier. He was a great delight in the book. Truly a fun, sexy, romantic read. Look forward to reading the other three books in the The Legend of the Four Soldiers. less
