review 2: It isn't that this is by a bad writer. But it took me a week to force myself through this and that almost never happens to me; I'm a book a day gal if the books are good. Despite there being a mystery in this literary novel, it felt as if there were no narrative drive, and I kept feeling as if I ... morewere struggling through sand dunes as I read. I would have preferred to read the book within this book by itself as when reading those pieces I perked up a little bit. less
