review 1: If I were given only 3 words to describe this book, those words would be “Food for thought”. This book is cereal to my brain; it’s a roast lamb leg with baked veggies, lots of gravy and cold chocolate mousse for dessert for my brain. This book provides many interesting questions and Gemma Malley not only answers these in a realistic way, but also manages to relate it so in depth with modern teenagers. It’s really astounding.

... moreink the basic premise of a Returner is a good twist on the reincarnation idea. It tries to assign a purpose to being reincarnated as having a function in history. I was wrapped up in the story but overall, for me, it was missing some sort of development. It might have been more successful for me as a short story. The author has good points to make and I wanted to follow the main character till the end of the book. But maybe it was too didactic for me? I'm not sure. less
