review 1: Ok this book was good, but i don't think it was as good as the previous ones, or Torins book which is to come next. Kane did have it rough and so did Tink. I feel like this book jumped around alot between the characters, more so than others have. I loved how the relationship blossomed between the two main characters. I'm also very curious about Cameo and Laz..who are now stuck with each other until they escape the rod. I did love getting more of Torin...I know I'm partial, but CMON he is the Hotness! LOL I'm salivating so badly waiting on his book...but I'm also curious how Gena will end the series with his book. There seems like there is still alot going on and not enough to give me everything in one more book. Overall another winner in my book...just not as high up on th... moree favorites as some of the others.
review 2: Let me start by saying that I have always loved the LOTU books, right from the start with Maddox. And although I wasn't overly excited with the new additions, I was open to getting to know them (the non-Budapest crew) and did get caught up in their stories. I can't say I was excited over Kane's book, but can say I still liked him and Tink, a lot. That being said, it did drag. It started out fine, and loved Tinks' sassiness. She came across kinda ditzy, but not, and I enjoyed how that confused Kane. After what he endured in Hell, I can see why he would change into someone harder, but still leery of being touched or going back into Hell...and the fact that she was the only one who could touch him or get close to him was sweet. So yes, as a couple, I liked these two together. My struggle was more along the lines of how much what happened in Seduire seemed to drag. Couldn't they just have gone in and done what they did at the end a lot sooner? There were some odd twists in this, but some favorite parts was the inclusion of the other Lords, William, the sidebar stories with Torin and Cameo, and at least an HEA after all of the confusion between Tink and Kane. I'm definitely not at the stage where I am giving up on this series. This just wasn't one of my favorite books. I didn't have as many issues with it as others, but something was missing for me as I read this. I too thought I would devour this book, but found I could take breaks from it just fine. I actually had a harder time putting Thane's book down. And perhaps the reason this book dragged for me was because I read that one first. less
