review 1: Another fun volume in the Elite Four/Yellow story. The Kanto gym leaders team up to fight against the Elite Four, who's goal is finally revealed. Red returns, and the true identity of Yellow is revealed. Oh, and Green comes back! I love her! She's my favorite of the bunch.Lots of story development, and epic battles. The Elite Four battles are Red's previous battle against Giovanni in terms of scale and quality. Great stuff. 3 stars.
review 2: Why VIZ is still taking this slowly, as they've already translated the first seven "Pocketmonsters Special" volumes in the past, I have no clue. The translation has not even been changed between editions, so this really is nothing new if you read this volume in the past...but for the series overall, I really like how the... more "Yellow" storyline developed a larger and deeper overall storyline. This series is the beginning of the end for Yellow's story, with the next volume having the epic conclusion and big battle with Lance! less
