review 1: A very, very compelling middle book of a trilogy, with both a climatic ending and a great segue int the third book in the series. I found the lead protagonist (Marsh) to be less wooden this book, but the real depth and color is still in the supporting cast, particularly Will and Klaus. I am also particularly intrigued by how Tregillis played Gretel and gave insight into her "powers". Great series thus far if you like action, spies, alternative timelines, superhero-like powers (albeit more street level and sparingly used than full on comic book) with some Cthulu-style flavor invoked.

... moreeveal was very creative. I also thought this one had more substance and development. To be honest, I wouldn't have continued after the first book but Kobo's 90% promo code brought the cost down to the "why not?" level. I'll read the final book in the series at a later date. less
