review 1: Her characters are always wonderful and the suspense keeps you up into the night wanting to finish the book. I cannot wait for the next book. I enjoyed all the characters and would love to see any of them with their own book in the series. Jake and Liz have great tension between them and you enjoy seeing it develop. The author creates a great relationship with Jake and his siblings. You will not be disappointed by this book. review 2: Irene Hannon is one of my favorite authors. The action in her books is enough to keep you reading more but not enough to give... more you nightmares. Her descriptions enable you to visualize the scenes without distracting from the story line. The romance aspect of the books is warm but not overly mushy. In other words, just the way I like it. In this book, we see a glimpse of the life of a federal judge. At first, I thought I found a flaw in the thinking of a particular scene (no spoiler here!). But after considering the way it was written, I could see how it might have happened the way it did. When you read the book, try and find the action I'm talking about and let me know what you less
