review 1: ARC provided by NetGalleyBoy meets girl...Girl has secrets and therefore plays hard to get...boy chases girl...a love story emerges.Serena is likable because she is a strong character and Geoffrey is an adorable character that is difficult not to like. There is some hot chemistry between the two and the author conveys that quite well! ;)Overall, an easy going book with some slower parts but the secrets were intriguing for the reader to discover.
review 2: A Sinful Deception (book number 2 in the Breconridge Brothers trilogy) by Isabella Bradford is a lovely historical romance that really makes an impression about how deep is love and for many it is skin deep. This novel highlights how the prejudices from the previous generation can continue to poison and erod
... moree how precious life is. I found the story line interesting and felt the book was quite good. Miss Serena Palmer is a lovely maiden on the marriage mart. Serena was raised in India and returned to England after the tragic death of her father. Her family is thrilled to have her among them again and horrified with the thought of her growing up with natives and people below her class. Geoffrey Fitzroy is the second son. His life is more carefree and he is always looking for a new adventure. He was mesmerized by Serena’s beauty and with time comes to realize that Serena is one of a kind. However, there is a secret that could derail their feelings and future.I enjoyed the book and will have to read the other books in this series about the Breconridge Brothers by Isabella Bradford. less
