The Scorch Trials is the second book in the James Dashner’s trilogy “Maze Runner”. The book was published in 2010. This is a young-adult novel about survivors, who continue their adventures after the first book events.
The main characters, Thomas, Newt, Minho and others, are out the maze now, but the story is not finished. Something strange is happening. They have to overcome new difficulties again. One man from a group WICKED gives them a test to complete and save the Earth.
The main theme of The Scorch Trials is friendship. Friendship, support and betrayal from Teresa, Thomas’s girlfriend.
