review 1: If you are the type of person who doesn't like authors reworking biblical stories, you won't enjoy this book. The action parts of this story are standard fair and didn't really get my blood pumping. I did enjoy some of the "what ifs" talked about in this book and some historical characters were used in interesting ways. However, I did not really like the way the book ended and probably won't follow up with any subsequent titles.
review 2: Loved, loved, loved this book! I was apprehensive about reading this because I am so tired of the whole vampire/other world thing, but I love James Rollins' writing, and I was curious as to how the collaboration with Rebecca Cantrell would work, so I had to give it a chance. I read this book in two days and was irritated whe... moren I had to put it down to tend to other things. I'm looking forward to reading other books in the series. less
