review 1: This is the second book in this series and I really like it. Jaye is one of my favorite writers and I really like the gritty urban setting of this series. The characters are all interesting and I really like the relationship between the main character, Kate Prospero, and her partner, Drew Morales. I also appreciate that she has women in her life. In this book her relationship with her best friend is rocked to its foundation and there is real tension and possible loss there. There's a great balance in this book between Kate's personal struggles and her professional struggles all mixing together the way they do for most of us. Kate is a strong main character and I'm looking forward to more of her story and her journey to discover a new relationship and practice with he... morer magic and her chosen life as a cop.
review 2: Jaye Wells has done it again and addicted me to her writing. Cursed Moon is the second in the Prospero's War series and mixes all the intrigue and tension of the first book with new revelations and deeper character development into a fantastic potion I want to drink again and again. Sorry Kate Prospero. Deal with it. I will not go to your and Penn's group for recovering potion addicts. I will be a happy Jaye Wells potion-writing junkie. Please put some extra change in my bucket so I can buy the next book in the series. less
