review 1: I'm a Christian but I loved this book! I have to be honest. In the beginning, I was a little skeptical because the whole cult thing is against what I believe in but when I started reading I couldn't stop. I do wish that it would appeal more to the Christian readers.At times, it seemed to bash the faith a little. I don't know if that was from a creative stance or the author's part of view. All in all, it's worth reading.

Now his parents are awaiting the Rapture, and David struggles with his personal faith in the face o... moref his crumbling family, first love, and dreams for a future his parents don’t believe in. I loved the narrative structure, how it sets up the mystery of what really happened to his parents (which immediately grabs you), and then backtracks to show how everything fell apart. And the characters are so raw and vulnerable and capable yet damaged, adults and children alike. Suspenseful, sweetly romantic, and thought-provoking, this is a memorable and engrossing read. -CC less
