review 1: I really loved the book, couldn't lay it down, cos I was so hooked with the story (which always happens when I read a book of Jilliane Hoffman *thumbs up*) but out of the #3 C.J books, I think this is the best (until now). I really enjoyed the story with Manny and Daria & how it connected with the C.J. case - yea the ending was very sad for Manny & Daria (and we just got to know her better) but I guess it makes it more 'real' that they couldn't save her - also this gives hope of a #4 episode which I really look forward to! I recommend it to everyone who loves a good thrill..Even if you haven't read the other two books (or it's been some years since then, like in my case) Jilliane really picks you up and tells you everything you need to know to understand the #3 Part. 5 S... moretars!
review 2: I was looking forward to dumbing down with a nice serial killer novel but I was so disappointed with this book. Really long but never really gets going and ambles around between two stories - one referring to a previous book (that I did enjoy) and one that is left hanging with no resolution at the end of 500 odd pages - a real cop out. Not sure if the author got bored but I won't be picking her up again in a hurry. less
