review 1: I finally completed this book. Howard & I started this as a book on CD for a road trip. He did not like it. He felt it was too dark. Harry Hole books are dark but always exciting and unpredictable. The ending was a shocker although I can not say I will miss the character in the future. His relentless pursuit of justice no matter the abuse to his body or psyche wore me out. I just didn't see how he could continue and he couldn't.

The ending! I will be very sad when I run out of Nesbo novels to read.
