review 1: ya Tuhan...saya ingin sekali membaca ini dan bingung harus mencari di mana harus mendapatkan novel ini. tampaknya saya telat membeli pula, HUH!Setelah mendapatkan novel ini langsung kubaca dan menikmati membaca yg begitu lama mengalir penuh laga, petualangan milik Halli Sviensson, mempertahankan harga diri atau mau mencoba seprti kisah Svien yg terkenal pahlawan di klannnya. Tokoh2 nya bagus, terasa sekali, juga alur cerita yang enak dibaca.
review 2: To be blunt, I found the first two thirds of this book to be tedious and the world described miserable. The last third, should you make it that far, is actually rather entertaining. Although it depends on the first portion (in which nothing really happens) to set the scene, there has to be a better way than to bor... moree the reader to death. The inspiration for the book, that it was based upon heroic sagas and the conflicts between the stories and the world they inhabited, was pretty cool. I really loved the female lead- Aud. She has the admirable quality of not needing to make Halli like her, which is generally not a female thing but it cool in the way that I love Harry Dresden because he often says that things I would be afraid to say. I don't remember being a fan of the audio recording- several of the names are pronounced similarly and the vaguely British accent seemed to add in extra letters (e.g. Halli became Harley). less
