review 1: The Year of Living Scandalously by Julia London is the first book in the Secrets of Hadley Green series. It is a good but not great historical romance. It is a mix of romance, deception, adventure and mystery. The main characters have a lot of conflict between and at times you won’t care for them. Declan in particular is a character that will rub readers the wrong way at times. The ending doesn’t feel complete. You are left with questions and can only assume that they will be answer in the next book. If you don’t like cliffhanger endings you may want to avoid this book. The Year of Living Scandalously is recommended for fans of historical romance.

She didn't just forget something and leave it out, so it works in this context. less

This was a good book to take to the beach and read. Very humorous, had some mystery too.
