review 1: I liked this book. I think what stands out the most is the easy manner in which Olivia and Harry interacted. They started out disliking each other but became fond of one another as they spent more time together. Harry initially thought that Olivia was an ice queen while Olivia thought Harry was weird and rude. Of course Olivia did not have much leg to stand on since she was spying on him, and I'm glad she admitted to her faults eventually. I found that their chemistry was conveyed in the writing and it was a pleasant read. The story revolves around Harry and Olivia. Harry is an agent of the war department. He is tasked with translating documents. All this is done in secrecy. When he became a topic of a rumor, Olivia, his neighbour, took it upon herself to disprove the ridi... moreculous claims. However, as she spent more time watching him, the more she discovered that there was something wrong with him. Of course, this was because Harry was having fun at her expense. He was entertained by her antics and contemplated doing a jig on his table to mess with her head. I was hooked by then. It was just so whacky. Their meeting was a bust though as he realized she did not live up to his imaginings. She was cold and distant. For her part, she was avoiding him out of embarrassment. Their interactions left a lot wanting. Olivia avoided him while Harry vowed to never see her again. However, he was tasked with keeping an eye on Prince Alexei, Olivia's suitor. Despite not wanting to further his acquaintance with Olivia, he was forced to do so to complete his mission. Much to his surprise, he grew to like her. It took her a bit to warm up but when she did, she was an entertaining and interesting person. They furthered their acquaintance by reading Ms. Butterworth and her ridiculous tales. They started falling for each other as Olivia finally found in Harry what no one else who proposed to her has. Harry also fell for Olivia and so started their romance. However, Olivia got caught up in intrigues involving Prince Alexei. She was kidnapped and taken as a hostage. She was eventually saved and her courtship with Harry culminated in a marriage proposal that involved her father and mother. I liked this book because of Harry and Olivia. I think their affection for each other was written well. My favourite part of the book wasn't so much about them but rather, Sebastian Grey. I loved the part where he read the book in a dramatic fashion transforming an awful literature into a captivating one. Of course, it was the moment when Alexei turned his attentions from Olivia to Sebastian, who he thought was just a talent.
review 2: Lumayan menarik ceritanya. Lantas konfliknya apa? Ada sedikit petualangan yang melibatkan pangeran Rusia. Sayangnya baru terjadi di akhir cerita. Dan segera diselesaikan. Trus adegan uhuknya memang agak maksa sih. less

I WOULD HAVE GAVE IT A FIVE STAR AND MORE BUT INSTEAD I PUT UP WITH FOUR ONLY.WHY!?!I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS! BUT IT LEFT ME CRAVING FOR MORE! I WANT SATISFACTION AND IT JUST ENDS LIKE THAT! UGH. I'M NOT COMPARING BUT MS QUINN'S WRITING IS UNBELIEVABLE, IT'S POLISH AND VERY WITTY. IT IS NOT BORING!!!! BUT UNLIKE MS. LISA KLEYPAS I LOVE HER WORK "THE HATHAWAY SERIES" BECAUSE IT GAVE ALL MY CRAVINGS WITH ENOUGH AND SPLENDID SATISFACTION. AND I WANT MORE OLIVIA AND HARRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT JUST END LIKE THAT. *SIGH*But I salute you Ms. Quinn. I love your works!

can't believe i'm saying this, but this book was actually maybe too bubbly and light, even for me. but that's probably because i've read "what happens in london" just after i've finished jane austen's "emma", and nothing really competes with emma.on the other hand, i don't think i've laughed this hard since "ten things i love about you". sebastian grey totally steals the show, but somehow i don't have a problem with that ;)
