review 1: I can't seem to find a series where the second book is as good as the first. I keep coming across awesome books only to be let down a little with how much the second book doesn't even come close to the first book. This was one of those books. The characters were great and the writing was too, but the actual story was kind of boring. I hope the third installment of Department Q is better than the second.
review 2: A decent enough read if on occasion slightly clunky translation but obviously Danish. All a bit OTT particularly Rose who seems to be able to do the work of ten people in just a few hours. The whole stories' timeline needed stretching to be more realistic. I can't believe that reluctant workers will start at 5am and work into the night!Looking at the r... moreeviews I am quite willing to give earlier works a go though. less
