review 1: Suzanne Dietz finds the body of the town's funeral director dead in his funeral parlor. She and her friends from the Crackleberry Club Cafe look into his death as well as try to save Toni's ex-husband from himself. They are sure Junior is involved with drugs and they need to save him from himself. I like this series. The characters are well written and the plot is jagged at times but the series as a whole is pretty good.
review 2: This book was okay, although I like the author's other series much better,especially the Tea Shop Mystery series, which is one of my all-time favorites. Some parts of this cozy mystery I thought were contrived and just a little bit hokey. There were just some things that sounded 'out of character' here and there in the main chara... morecters' speech patterns and behavior in their ways of responding to things. Overall, though, it was an okay read and I will definitely continue with the series. less
