review 1: Very much a Modesitt Jr book. If you like his others you will like this one. The one complaint I had was that we can all see what is going to happen at the final battle of the book, so it felt a little glossed over. I think he could have fleshed that scene out a little before cutting away to the conclusion. In any case, I enjoyed it like I have most of his other works. I will continue on with the series.
