review 1: wow! the perfect home. the perfect family. a deadly secret ...... sandra and jason seem like any other couple until sandra disappears leaving behind their 4 year old daughter as the only witness. and her husband the prime suspect d d warren is called in but something does not seem right to her. who is hiding what and from whom? add into the mix a convicted paedophile - people with no pasts and what seems obvious is not a mix of present with flash backs told from the different characters perspective great characterisation and a plot which will leave u guessing to the end only one question - how did max get into the house? bev
review 2: This is the first book of Lisa Gardner's I have read. I enjoyed it very much. The story and the way it was written, kept me on
... more the edge of my seat and turning pages till the wee hours of the morning. It is filled with suspense, mystery and a thrill ride thru twists and turns that will keep you guessing till the end. I felt the content of the story to be as close to reality as fiction can allow. I felt the heartache and desperation of the characters, the sadness and the loneliness. I loved the fact that Ree's character was protected so well and showed us no matter how badly the parents had been abused as children, they still knew love and how to love.I will be reading more of Lisa Gardner's books and recommend her books to others. less
