review 1: This is the first book I've read by this author. Romance novels are one of my secret guilty pleasures and this book was enjoyable. This is the first book in the London’s Greatest Lover series. Passions of a Wicked Earl is about an arranged marriage that starts off badly and how the bride puts aside her pride to try to reconcile with her estranged husband. The story line was good, but I didn’t feel I got enough background on the main characters. I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a fun and easy read.
review 2: More like 3.5 stars. I do so enjoy stories of icy men learning to love. This was nice, not exasperating as far as misunderstandings go (for me anyway), if a little too tidily wrapped up at the end. Characters could have been built up... more a bit more.ETA: After reading other reviews, appears there is a prologue but it was not part of my ebook from the library. Weird. Though that would explain some of the lack of meaty character backgrounds that I was expecting. less
