review 1: Interesting read - started off a little slow but picked up nicely - I enjoyed the futuristic but not unrealistic setting of this book where some people are gifted with genius abilities and what happens to them as a result. The story was intriguing, the characters were well written and the story exciting enough to get me to finish the second half in about a days time. Looking forward to another installment - good thriller/mystery recommendation.
review 2: Others have recapped the story for you so I'll just comment that this is more thriller than sci-fi, though there is a sci-fi element to it. There's lot of well-written action and a somewhat cliched plot. But I really liked the book and found it difficult to put down. The reader (I listened to it through Audi... moreble) was excellent and I'll seek out other books he narrates. I would definitely buy the sequel if the author decides to write one. less
