review 1: Interesting read - started off a little slow but picked up nicely - I enjoyed the futuristic but not unrealistic setting of this book where some people are gifted with genius abilities and what happens to them as a result. The story was intriguing, the characters were well written and the story exciting enough to get me to finish the second half in about a days time. Looking forward to another installment - good thriller/mystery recommendation.
review 2: Others have recapped the story for you so I'll just comment that this is more thriller than sci-fi, though there is a sci-fi element to it. There's lot of well-written action and a somewhat cliched plot. But I really liked the book and found it difficult to put down. The reader (I listened to it through Audi
... moreble) was excellent and I'll seek out other books he narrates. I would definitely buy the sequel if the author decides to write one. less
