review 1: So as the battle rages, and it must be said, not in an unexciting way, we now have Gaara's backstory and his relationship with his parents, just has we have that of Naruto's parents a few volumes ago. The common thread appears to be that Mum's are fab and Dad's, well a bit hit and miss based on this. But as Naruto and Bee go postal on the battlefield, Shinobi battle a massive clam - and if this wasn't aimed at children, the mangaka really could have gone to town on that last one (PM me is you don't get the reference)
review 2: Hey Naruto fans, have you cried over the tragic back story of Gaara lately? Good news: you get to totally do that in this volume! I swear to God, if Kishimoto keeps exploring all of the past and present jinchuuriki's back story like this,... more my Naruto graphic novels will become tear-soaked blocks of soggy paper. Also, is it just me or does the more terrifying aspects of this book's cover invoke some serious Attack On Titan vibes? Yikes. less
