review 1: This book is so unlike any other Mercy Celeste book that I've read. Yes, there is a complicated plot full of twists and turns, much like many of her other works I've read. Yes, there are unbelievably sexy love scenes that scorch your E-reader screen. However, where many of the titles I've read by this author have tackled dark secrets and taboo topics, this read was almost the extreme opposite. This book was a light and fun to read in comparison to other Celeste works on my bookshelf. That's not to say that it doesn't grab and keep your attention, because it certainly does. How can it not grab your attention when one of the main characters has spent the last century and a half as a cat?You will laugh while swiping to the next page to see just what kind of trouble the ... morelittle minx in the story can stir up while falling in love with characters that tickle your happy spot.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. The sex scenes weren't over done and felt real instead of lust consumming. There are a few loose ends which I hope are tied up in the second book, so I can't wait for that.Sometimes I had a bit of trouble figuring out who was talking. It makes it hard when you have two main characters and the book is written in third person.This book you really have to read yourself. As much as I liked the book, I am conflicted with the way it turned out and how it was written at times. Part of me would have liked Morgan with Falyn and not Fane. Fane is still a child at times and he is still clearly in love with Jace, that is a little disconcerting for Morgan's sake. But the other part of me loves Fan and Morgan together. I hope we get to hear more of their story and Falyn's too, but pleeeeease don't have him end up with Morgan's sister.... less
