review 1: Yes, there are a few weird continuity issues in this finale, but overall it lives up to the rest of the series.A seriously unhinged super-villian hides her physical attractiveness behind a skull mask, while toting around a scarecrow boyfriend.A broken-hearted former secret agent nurses his broken heart by trying to play the oboe (you have to admit, it's just a ridiculous instrument) and writing bad country-western songs.When the NERDS are forced to evacuate their secret laboratory under the middle school, their new headquarters is in "Marty Mozzarella's" -- not-so-loosely based on Chuck E. Cheese's. Ruby Peet -- my least favorite NERD in previous books -- is the focus, with some hilarious conflict between her mom's Jewish Long Island family and her dad's Boston Irish clan... more. The top-secret dossiers of former NERDS are also highly entertaining.
review 2: I enjoyed how the NERDS team from the 21st century teamed up with the first NERDS team and how you got to meet Beanpole. ;) It was also a good way to end the series with a bang. It bothered me how fast Heathcliff went from being a good guy to wanting to take over the world to being a good guy again. I felt like it was too rushed. Ms. Holiday being the villain was also a fascinating concept. I also liked how the BULLIES was basically a bad guy version of the NERDS. I didn't really like how Ms. Holiday ended up coming back. I felt like it wasn't really her. It was like she was a different person because her life had been so different. It was also confusing how Brand got out of being obliterated in the black hole. less
