review 1: An interesting premise -- what to do with all the papers left in the books? Is there another book coming -- on the grocery lists or maybe the dry cleaning receipts?This is exactly what it says: a collection of recipes left in books. The problem I have with these recipes is this: if they were good recipes, why were they left in books? If the owners of the recipes didn't want them, why should I?
review 2: An interesting collection of recipes Popek found tucked insided books that come into bookstore. Some sound absoultly disgusting. Some sound wonderful. One or two are dishes I had in the past and never saw the recipe in any book. A delighful discovery. They are older recipes and are for more curiosty and historical value mostly. A brave soul might try more tha... moren a few beyond the desserts and breads. Overall, a joyful read.I won a copy of this book here on Goodreads. less
