review 1: Although far too florid for my liking there where elements inside all this sticky frou frou that were tantalising and charming and the final reveal did make me smile ... But like dining at a fancy restaurant you simply long to kick off your shoes, loosen your tie and get home to a nice cup of tea and a plain biscuit ... because all these unctuous sauces and spun sugar concoctions, if indulged to excess, only lead to indigestion!
review 2: An utterly delicious book. I liked 'Hedgehog' better in terms of attachment to the characters and the overall developed plot, but for the purpose that the author wrote this book, 'Rhapsody' was compactly delightful. I wasn't as satisfied with the ending as I was with 'Hedgehog''s. Her narrative power still shines through in th... moree pages, and the reader absolutely floats down a river of rich language. I advise not to read it at late hours because it will seriously make you hungry! less
