review 1: I have read many of Patrick Lencioni's books as they have come out, and they have helped guide me though many personal growth opportunities from running effective meetings to making sure that I answer the questions that lead to a work life balance. The Advantage is a great gathering of the ideas in his previous books, with an overall perspective on organizational health.I think that the concepts in this book are important to today's organizations who are faced with growing demands by customers and stakeholders. What makes organizations succeed where others flounder in a series of poor practices that erodes their position in the market. It will be interesting to use the principles in this book and to be a part of building a healthier organizations.
review 2:
... moreThis is the first time I’ve ever read anything by Patrick Lencioni, and I’ll definitely be going back for more. I find most business books to be over written. There’s usually 20 pages worth of good ideas and another 200 pages spent repeating those ideas. Not here. Lencioni keeps things moving, interesting and insightful. He really helped me realize the value of creating clarity and over communicating with my team and in my presentations – and I saw immediate results. Powerful stuff. less
