Reclaiming the Crown
review 1: Protecting the Princess by Rachelle McCallaBook 2 in the Reclaiming The Crown SeriesPrincess Anastasia use to adore her brother's best friend, Kirk Covington. Six years ago that all changed when Thadeus disappeared and Kirk went to trial for his murder. Being no body was ever found or other proof, the charges were dropped. But not the accusations of those around him, including Stasi. Now her family is in trouble and the only ally she has is Kirk. She must learn to trust him completely as it seems they can't trust anyone else at this time of upheaval in Lydia.Kirk and Stasi travel from Milan to the State of Georgia in the USA with their enemies hot on their heels the entire time. Fighting the pull they feel towards each other. Kirk has always been taught that she is a Princ... moreess, part of the Royal Family and he is nothing compared to her. He has to focus on protecting her, even from himself. As with Princess in Peril our hero and heroine are on the run for most of the story. The story keeps moving as well to where I didn't want to put the book down. There are two more books in this series, the Prince's stories. I'm looking forward to this continuing saga. Each book ends with some situations closed but you know there is more coming. June -Book 3: Prince Incognito & September - Book 4: The Missing Monarch.
review 2: I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I enjoyed this story very much. Would really like to find the first book in this series. The characters seem very real and I very much enjoyed the story line. When I saw the cover of the book, I figured it was another historical romance, but actually it's a contemporary romance. It is an inspirational book, but it's not overdone and you feel a real connection between the characters and their relationship with God. less
