review 1: Whoa drama in the court! I just finished the Kings Guard and I loved the story development and how it all ties into the 3rd book! I love that Rae has created all of these back stories for all of her characters it shows why Hector is the way he is and all supporting characters in this book!! Now I want to read all the girl of fire & thorns books again to understand those books more (Fernando, Mandrano & Lucio, Miria) all of them!! Such a great idea/concept of these novellas I love it, but I'm soooo sad they are all done! @Raecarson please finish your next series nooooow!!!! Please!! I don't know what to do with myself now!
review 2: Another wonderful novella telling the backstory of Hector in the Fire and Thorns world. Hector is a page for King Alejandro and wan... morets to be a Kings Guard. Alejandro pulls him out of the trials to undertake a mission for him. Hector and two others, Lucio and Fernando, must find the Queen's cousin and bring her back. Of course things don't go quite as planned, but it does highlight Hector's leadership abilities even at the age of 15. It is great to learn more about this pivotal character in this fantastic world Rae Carson has created. less
