SYNOPSIS:
Marianne Daventry will do anything to escape the boredom of Bath and the amorous attentions of an unwanted suitor. So when an invitation arrives from her twin sister, Cecily, to join her at a sprawling country estate, she jumps at the chance. Thinking she’ll be able to relax and enjoy her beloved English countryside while her sister snags the handsome heir of Edenbrooke, Marianne finds that even the best laid plans can go awry.
From a terrifying run-in with a highwayman to a seemingly harmless flirtation, Marianne finds herself embroiled in an unexpected adventure filled with enough romance and intrigue to keep her mind racing. Will Marianne be able to rein in her traitorous heart, or will a mysterious stranger sweep her off her feet? Fate had something other than a relaxing summer in mind when it sent Marianne to Edenbrooke.

Happy Tuesday, book friends!
If you’re in America, I hope you had a good long weekend! My husband celebrated by playing Dragon Age Inquisition all day, while I binge read my holiday read.
I’m so excited to tell you about today’s book. It has officially moved The Rules of Magic to the #2 slot of Best Books I’ve Read This Year. (Which, I hate saying, as today is The Rules of Magic release day!)
Before I tell you about Edenbrooke, let me tell you about how I discovered it! I recently found a bookish subscription service called The Letters Lit. I had been wanting to try a subscription book box for awhile, but honestly – most of it seemed too similar, too expensive, and I never felt as if I really wanted to receive any of them monthly.
The Letters Lit is different. It’s a bookish envelope themed around a book. It’s cheaper, because there is no book inside, but that means if you don’t like the book – no harm, no foul.
Edenbrooke was the book theme for their very first letter, which went out in September.

Now, on to the book review!
Edenbrooke gave me a book experience that I haven’t had in SUCH a long time. I laughed, I cried, I felt nervous anticipation – everything. I want to forever bottle up my feelings, so I can feel them repeatedly whenever I miss this book.
What I liked: This book is part of a group called “A Proper Romance”. Basically that means that you can enjoy the pure romance, relationship building, and heart full of emotions without anything more than some kissing. All of the focus is on the relationships in this story, and they are PERFECT.
What I didn’t like: Nothing. This book was perfect.
I need more bookish shops to create merchandise for this book, because I have FEELS.
