When everything is fading away

When it is like a fog where beyond a point nothing is visible
Some I desperately try to catch hold of
some I let go
everything looks like a struggle, a battle
and only you as an individual have to fight it, alone
You care not to hurt anyone; people you care
bearing, enduring all the pain
You ask what is life?
a beautiful journey
or a path full of misery & struggle
or something we are too young to comprehend!
For some
It’s a moment in the sun,
feeling the breeze,
oozing out of fresh budding flowers,
the taste of a gourmet dish; perfectly sweet,
the ease of a memory, a picture that it brings to your heart.
For some
it’s difficult, hanging by a thread
rebuilding & reassuring yourself every moment
that it is alright.
The clinch of the sheet in the morning
to have the last possible respite,
the struggle to get up,
the chill in the bones one feel
walking bare feet on the cold floor
and the act-
of putting a mask and walking among the crowd
blending, smiling and hiding
saying to yourself
everything is normal
everything is alright
everything is as it is meant to be.
For some, it’s a search
an aimless voyage
wander with no sense of direction
just a feeling to guide.
The time spend in companionship,
of togetherness; rejoicing
believing this is life!
Some gets to keep it
and for some
it’s taken away in a whip, in a flash
the once eager eyes tired,
tired to find meaning,
tired to gather last bit of strength to take another step.
Again, what is life?
the unending, untiring trial to rebuilt, redeem yourself,
the search in the eyes and the desire to find it again!
A duet of doubt and conviction,
a duet of faith and soul.
