Recently Finished?

I recently finished reading Beautiful Mess by Claire Christian. It was a beautifully written, sad and surprisingly funny book filled with characters that I absolutely loved. A 5 star read! I’m hoping to post a review before the end of the week.

I also finished another 5 star read, Kids Like Us by Hilary Reyl last week. It was a really sweet book about a young boy with autism who goes to France for the filming of one go his mother’s movies. I loved the main character, Martin and found that the story was surprisingly relatable. Plus, the setting was really fun. A review will be posted soon.

Currently Reading?

I am part way through reading The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr and am enjoying it. While at times the repetition can get a little tiresome, it’s obvious that this is what contributes to the whole effect of the story in terms of Flora having amnesia etc. It’s still a good book, however, I’m finding it slightly harder to get through than I first anticipated.

I still haven’t made much progress in the audiobook of The Secret Life of Cows by Rosamund Young and am contemplating not finishing it. It’s not necessarily that I don’t like it, it’s more about the fact that I can never find enough time to listen to it.

Reading next?

I am planning to read Ashley Poston’s novel, Geekerella next. This is one book that was wildly popular throughout the blogosphere last year (2017). Hopefully it lives up to my high expectations.

Have you read any of these books? What have you been reading lately? Feel free to leave me the link to your WWW and I’ll be sure to check it out. Happy Wednesday
