review 1: The eleventh installment to The Walking Dead's graphic novel collection is haunting, exciting and intense. The group meet possibly the most dangerous group of people yet: the hunters, a cannibal group with nothing to lose. The group continues to fall apart; disagreement and murder mystery lay at the heart of the discontent and the group are on edge, suspicious of their surroundings. The gripping story line is emotional and jam packed with the immorality we so expect from Kirkman and his cronies which, for me, made this my favourite issue yet. All I can say is that the ending is hella intense.
review 2: While it is only a side story in the ongoing saga of Rick Grimes, Volume 11 is an excellent summation of the new, more hardcore Rick, as well as his possibly eve... moren more hardcore new group of survivors. At one point the "hunters" lay out their plan for scaring Rick's group into making mistakes so that they can pick them off one by one, and my reaction, in parellel with Rick's, was that these people have NO IDEA who they are dealing with. And we were both quite correct. less
