review 2: I have to say I was a little disappointed with this book. It took me a while to get into this book; I actually set it down and read several other books before continuing on with this one. In the beginning the main characters annoyed me with their bickering and distrust of each other.However after the book got going (towards the middle) I actually started to enjoy it. There still wasn't enough trust between Lucy and Jake though.Lucy Sharpe finally gets her book and we learn about her dark, secretive past. She was an okay heroine but I didn't feel any connection to her.Jack Culver is a former Bullet Catcher and is now working as a PI. The last two books have been based around his investigation of a thirty year old murder case. With Lucy's help and the help of the rest of the Bullet Catchers, they may just solve this case. less
