review 1: Five stars from me. I started the whole series and got hooked to the characters. This was the 2nd book of the sereis a loved the most, first being To Wed A Wild Lord. Lady Celia's character was refreshing and very well written.We have been introduced to Jackson Pinter in the first book and I did like him throughout the series.The idea of a heiress with a simple man was what made this story all the more beautiful. Not much flaw in our hero, a plus point. All in all A great book.
review 2: I just did a reread of this excellent book, which wraps up the 5 books series, solving the mystery of the murders of the parents of the "Hellions." Jackson & Celia have been rubbing each other the wrong way, but secretly wanting each other. Jackson loses his well-known contro... morel to kiss Celia, in his despair that she is seeking to marry & has asked him to investigate potential suitors. Once she kisses Jackson, she doesn't want anyone else, but he is unsure of his position & thinks she will be better off without him. Needless to say, after some suspense & family interference, they finally figure things out! less
