Sebenarnya Leticia masih mencintai Christian dan selama ini tak pernah membiarkan suaminya masuk ke dalam hatinya bahkan Leticia tak bersedia mengandung anak Randall. Namun Leticia tak mau menanggapi perasaan Christian walau Christian akhirnya mengetahui alasan dibalik pernikahannya. Leticia tak ingin mengulang nasib yg sama: diginggal dan merasa ditelantarkan oleh orang yg dicintai dan dipercayainya.Disaat saat akhir penyelidikan, setelah Leticia, Christian, Justin Lord Vaux dibantu para pria anggota BC dan juga Dalziel (yg dikenal baik oleh Leticia dan Justin, dan sepertinya memiliki hubungan keluarga tapi Leticia tak mau membuka identitas kebangsawan Dalziel) mengetahui rahasia besar menyangkut Randall dan kedua orang sahabat Randall. Leticia harus menghadapi sang pembunuh yg ingin membunuh dirinya hanya karena penjualan perusahaan milik Randall. Antara hidup dan mati ampir jatuh dari atap bangunan, Leticia menyadari perasaannya dan tak ingin menyia nyiakan kesemlatan kedua yg diberikan takdir lada dirinya dan Christian.NB:Satu lagi karakter misterius yg dimunculkan pengarang selain Dalziel (yg selama ini menarik perhatianku dan membuatku penasaran), Roscoe Neville.Selubung misteri yg menyelimuti sosok Dalziel akhirnya sedikit terbuka kalau Dalziel memiliki gelar seorang marquess dan anak seorang duke.

I forgot to rate this. This was an interesting book of Letitia who married Randall when Christian was nowhere to be found. Randall and his friends set Letitia's father up and he lost a lot of money. With that, Letitia has no other choice but to marry Randall to get out of the mess. Didnt quite like the many repeats of how the Vaux temper is etc etc etc. Like as if all Vaux(s) are the exact same with the very legendary temper?!Storyline was ok. Liked the suspense to find out Randall's killer.
