review 1: When starting this book I thought it was going to be more creepy than crime but how wrong was I. The start is when a derelict building is about to be demolished but when the demolition started they made a grim discovery. A cage with a feral child in it and then we are taken on the story of how he got to be there and much much more. DI Phil Brennan can't seem to shake of the feeling that he should know more about this case and when his girlfriend Marina who is a psychologist gets wrapped up in the case she can see what effect it is having on him.I thoroughly enjoyed the brilliant writing in this book and would recommend it to any crime fans.

... morel secret society, at its heart people trafficking, murder and corrupt people in high places. Very tense, the constantly changing viewpoints almost lost me at the start, but I liked the tension it created. The final chapter could possibly be a bit shorter, but I'm looking forward to reading more of theses novels. less
