review 1: I really enjoyed the new world(s) and theme that Baxter and Pratchett introduced in this book and I also liked the narrative style that kept jumping away/back to little side stories explaining what happened. However the big reveal was a huge let down. It could have ended a tiny bit sooner and left a good cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the next book in the series though. Hopefully it'll have a better threat/resolution balance.
review 2: It's a nice science-fantasy more in that fantasy region (with a kind of sci-fi feel to it)... some strange (but popular) statements about quantum physics should really stop appearing in literature (and all other kinds of entertainment) at least for a century... but that's pretty much just me and my growing disdain for certa... morein types of spiritual propaganda. The book is just great and very funny by itself, no reservations there... less
