review 1: This book is based on a survey or surveys. For those with a statistical background, this book maybe a disappointment. I do not see this book, as primarily a text book. I perceive it, as a overview of one segment in society; the millennials. One previous reviewer stated the book was harsh on boomers. I am a boomer, and could not see anything that was not true of my generation. What I would have have had the authors do differently, is not to repeat themselves. Also, the book is already outdated. Facebook,is being replaced, by younger generations with Instagram, and other social media. Overall, the book is well written and informative.
review 2: I was very intrigued to read an analysis of my generation. Instead I got a bunch of statistics with weak larger relev
... moreancy. On top of this, the same points were repeated ad naseum regardless of the chapter. While I appreciate their attempt to be objective with their religion, it didn't really work. They might as well have approached it from a Christian mindset from the beginning. I did like that they were clear that their conclusions were being funneled through this lens. But the spirituality of those in the generation that claim association with other religions was not considered. less
