review 1: While the book didn't seem to drag on, not much really happens. I love books about people with super powers, but the main characters are generally whiny to the point where I would not have missed any of them had they been killed along their journey.Just about the time things get interesting, the book ends. I'm not sure if I will be interested in reading the next in the series to find out what happens.
review 2: It was gripping.It was gory.It was fresh.It was freaky.I also find it a big forced. I mean what are the chances the main character's parents go to London the ONE day that catastrophe happens and they leave their tween and young teen at home. It was also a bit predictable. BUT it was still a good book. It did end in a cliffhanger though so I will re... moread the other books in the series. So now go and read. less
