review 1: Yeah I am one of the weird people who read this book before reading the previous one, but not for lack of trying. On top of that I also read the next book The Art of Breathing before reading this one. Even though I don't recommend reading a series backwards. This has been a very enjoyable ride. This book has a surprising amount of spoilers for the next book and I am kind of glad that I read this book second so I was completely un-'spoiled' for the next book.Okay so let's get on with the review although beware my review is of this book alone and carries minimal impressions from the previous book as I DNF the book at roughly 33% (I think). The one and only impression I really have is that this book is written in a lighter vein and is not at all as serious and as doomed as the ... morefirst one felt. I mean there were a lot of laugh out loud moments. The story line flows which I can't say for book 1 & 3(even though I loved book 3) was that in both books at some point or the other the story becomes stagnant like the author was unsure of which path to choose to bring the next big event into focus which would ultimately lead to the grand conclusion. Not so with this book I never got bored and not even for one moment did I feel like the story had taken a break. I confess I was completely teary eyed at the end. This book was one big emotional roller coaster. But yeah I think this book is the best book of the series so far and if you liked the first book you will L.O.V.E. love this one.
review 2: Loved it, just loved it. If possible funnier than the first. When Bear blurts out what is on his mind but only the end of his thought process I can almost see the bewilderment on the faces of those around him.I can almost see the bewilderment on Bear's face when his "family" all get together in one big knot of supportiveness. They are all awesome. Please let there be more from theses characters in the next instalment.Along with the humour and hilarious Bear-angst there are also some very poignant moments, some very anxious moments and one very sad one. This is a story that will stay with me for a long time. I will be reading it again, and again, mostly because I think there are some bits I missed the dialogue was so fast paced.Bear tells a rare story (Using TJ Klune as his medium of course).I believe the next story is about The Kid. I can't wait. less
