review 1: OOOOOH A re-spin on Jack the ripper! I am particularly interested in England's more gruesome history so seeing Jack the ripper interpreted into this was a real treat. It's pretty early days but what I am enjoying most about this manga is that even though it's a gothic manga with a lot of serious and sinister moments in it, most of those moments are broken by something funny happening like Ciel being forced to wear a dress or Mey rin, finny and baldo fucking everything up.I also felt as though there was a good amount of suspense build up to the evil doer reveal at the end and I can't wait to continue in the next volume!
review 2: Well I've definitely got the hang of reading Manga now and I flew through this Vol. 2 and it's probably why I enjoyed this far more tha
... moren the first one. The story behind this with Sebastian and Ciel "solving" the mystery of who Jack the Ripper is was brilliant. The comedy is well placed and the story is fast paced. We met Grell near the end of this volume and they are fabulous. I genuinely can't think of another word for them. I'm hoping to see more of Grell in the future. less
